| Sabri Pllana is a senior research scientist at the Research Group of Scientific Computing, University of Vienna. His current research interests include intelligent programming environments and performance-oriented software engineering for parallel and distributed systems. He has 17 years of IT-related industrial and academic working experience. He worked for both technical and management capacities of various international organizations (such as United Nations or the World Bank Group). He contributed to several EU-funded projects and currently he is coordinating the FP7 project "Performance Portability and Programmability for Heterogeneous Many-core Architectures (PEPPHER)". Sabri Pllana holds a PhD degree (with distinction) in computer science from the Vienna University of Technology. He is member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), member of the HiPEAC network of excellence, member of the PlanetHPC network, member of the Networked European Software and Services Initiative (NESSI), member of the MIR Labs network of excellence, and member of the Euro-Par Advisory Board. | ||
