Activities:
-
Our research group is coordinating the EU-funded FP7 Project
"Performance Portability and
Programmability for Heterogeneous Many-core Architectures (PEPPHER)".
The total budget (in Euro) of
PEPPHER is 3.44 million.
-
Our research group organized a
research exhibition
at the
SC09 conference
(November 14--20, 2009, Portland, Oregon, USA). SC09 is sponsored by ACM and the
IEEE Computer Society. With more than 10 000 participants,
SC is the World's major event in parallel computing.
-
Siegfried Benkner
served as Program Chair for the 38th International Conference on Parallel Processing
(ICPP 2009).
Proceedings of the conference are published by the IEEE Computer Society.
-
Sabri Pllana has established the
International Workshop on Multi-Core Computing Systems (MuCoCoS).
Following the successful organization of MuCoCoS 2008 (Barcelona, Spain) and
MuCoCoS 2009 (Fukuoka, Japan),
MuCoCoS 2010 will be organized in
Krakow (Poland, February 15, 2010) in conjunction with CISIS 2010.
Workshop proceedings are published by the IEEE Computer Society Press.
-
Members of our research group, Sabri Pllana and Siegfried Benkner, contributed the chapter
"Hybrid Performance Modeling and Prediction of Large-Scale Parallel Systems"
to the book
"Parallel Programming, Models and Applications in Grid and P2P Systems".
This book is published by IOS Press in the book series
Advances in Parallel Computing.
-
Sabri Pllana served as guest editor for the special
issue of the 'Scientific
Programming Journal' on
'Software
Development for Multi-Core Computing Systems'.
